What is your favourite memory of Malvern College?
I easily have a few. I think the ones that stand out the most to me would be spending time with my house mates. It’s one of those things you tend not to relish until it’s taken away from you. Also, I was lucky enough to be involved in the 2017 New Zealand Rugby Tour, which is a memory I will hold onto for the rest of my life.
What attracted you to your particular career and what do you enjoy most about it?
I’ve always had ambitions to become a professional rugby player. The support I was given from the likes of Nick Tisdale, Simon Woodward and Billy McGinty enabled me to convert my early setbacks into motivators. They have been a big part of my journey and I cannot thank them enough.
What part did Malvern College play in giving you the necessary skills for your chosen path?
In the early stages of my Malvern career I was given the opportunity to be a part of the EPP. Being introduced to an athlete environment from a young age gave me a lot of confidence. This combined with the support House 9 gave me allowed me to further pursue my aspirations and travel between Worcester Warriors and the boarding house outside of hours. Outside of Rugby, my tutors Simon Woodward and Jordan Nwachukwu really helped me remain focused and excel with my academics. Ultimately, this has allowed me to go to Loughborough University and pursue a degree I am passionate about.

Be the best I can be no matter what I’m committing myself to.
What advice would you give to current pupils contemplating working in your field?
Be willing to put the work in where others aren’t and never be afraid to ask questions.
What advice would you give to current pupils about making the most of their time at the school?
Enjoy every moment at Malvern, you’ll be surprised how quickly 5 years can go.
