Currently, we teach A level Economics, Business and Politics, and International Baccalaureate Higher and Standard Economics and Business Management. Well over 200 pupils are currently studying these subjects in the Sixth Form.

Over the last five years, on average, 40% of Upper Sixth leavers going on to university do so to study degrees directly related to the three subjects taught in the department. In 2017 we maintained our regular Oxford and Cambridge success rate. Over the years pupils have regularly been awarded places on courses such as Economics, HSPS, Land Economy, PPE and Economics and Management each year. We have a current cohort of hopefuls this year too who we will support in their quest to similarly gain their places at prestigious universities.

Whilst the global economy goes through its many cycles, it is fair to say that the Malvern Economics Department continues to chart a strong course of academic rigour, aiming to flourish and continue to produce good results.
