Athletics at Malvern
In the Summer term, there is training on Tuesdays and Thursdays with additional training on Saturdays when there is no fixture.
Every year, several pupils qualify from the District Championships to progress through to the County Championships and, from that, a few pupils also regularly make it through to compete in the Mason Trophy. This competition is the inter counties schools’ championships and has the aim to achieve English Schools Athletic Association standards. We are also looking at how we can support talented and enthusiastic pupils by attending Athletics outside of College time at either Worcester A.C. or Stourport A.C. in order to fulfil their potential.
Our annual inter-House Athletics competition (Sports Day) sees school records being broken year after year. This is held on Friday immediately before Commemoration.
