Anne Sharp and her husband Tom, with their four children; Hugo, Constance, Ralph and Guy, aim to create a friendly family atmosphere for the girls in No.4.

There are frequent events held in the House, such as chocolate fountain evenings and birthday suppers, and these enable all of the girls to get to know each other better and bind the whole House together, forming a basis for the great House spirit that is always evident in No.4.”

A former Head of House, Emma Hicks described how “I shall always treasure No.4 as a place where I have so many fantastic memories and I will miss you all very much.”

“In No.4, we are always looking for ways to challenge the girls and to allow them to show off their talents in the supportive atmosphere of the boarding house. The annual Arts Soiree and the Cup Supper both offer opportunities for the girls to do just that”, says Anne.

“The staff in the House find ways to inspire each girl to achieve her full potential, all the while providing strong pastoral support that works to support the girls. Girls at Malvern are encouraged to develop their skills on the sporting, drama and music fronts, and working together as a team is very much part of our ethos. Photographs of the girls enjoying the many wonderful activities that the school has to offer proudly adorn the House 4 corridors”.

With its cosy sofas, No.4 is a comfortable place to board and a home within the College for the girls under Anne’s care. Anne teaches English and Drama.
