Malvern College is proud to announce a series of accolades that reflect the school’s commitment to excellence, innovation and inclusivity. The College has been shortlisted for Independent School of the Year – Central Region in the highly respected Independent School of the Year Awards, affirming its position as a leading educational institution.
Among the individual honours, Year 11 student Chloe M has been named a finalist in the Rising Star category. A published poet, Chloe won Malvern’s Poetry Prize with her powerful piece Refuge is Man Made, and she aspires to study Neurotechnology at a top Ivy League university.
Earlier this year, Malvern College earned recognition from AMCIS for its impactful Role Models campaign, which promotes the school’s values of modernity, inclusiveness and integrity. The campaign also challenges outdated notions of privilege and entitlement, aligning with the school’s progressive ethos.
Headmaster Keith Metcalfe, who was also a finalist in the TES Headteacher of the Year category, commented: “These nominations are more than just awards – they’re a reflection of the values we instil in our community. The Role Models campaign was designed to showcase the kind of individuals we nurture at Malvern and it’s heartening to see that message resonate so widely.”
Malvern College’s achievements this year also include winning the Outdoor Pursuits category in The Week’s Best of the Best Awards and being shortlisted in both Music and Boarding. The College received a Silver Award in the Oppidan Education Mentoring Awards and was highly commended in the Prepared for Life category by Muddy Stilettos. Additionally, the Malvern family of schools was a finalist in the Study Travel Magazine Secondary School Awards.
