This is an exceptional set of results from a remarkable cohort. Our pupils have demonstrated not only academic excellence but also resilience, character and a genuine commitment to making the most of every opportunity available to them. We are immensely proud of all they have achieved and look forward to seeing the impact they will make in the world beyond Malvern.
Malvern College is delighted to celebrate the achievements of its International Baccalaureate (IB) Upper Sixth pupils, who have received an exceptional set of results in 2026. A total of 94 pupils completed the full Diploma – the College’s largest cohort since 2012 – with every pupil successfully awarded the IB Diploma.
Among this year’s high achievers, two pupils, Tara G and Livia MdGR, attained the maximum possible score of 45 points, a distinction achieved by fewer than 1% of candidates worldwide. Overall, 22% of pupils scored 40 points or more, significantly above the global average of 30.9, with four pupils achieving 44 points. The average score among the College’s top 30 pupils stands at an impressive 41 points.
In addition, 30 pupils were awarded the prestigious Bilingual Diploma in combinations including French/English, Spanish/English and German/English.
These results reflect not only academic excellence but also resilience and determination. Notably, Ixeya F achieved a score of 31 despite undergoing major surgery during the year and missing significant time in school.
Pupils will now progress to leading universities across the UK and internationally, including Edinburgh, Durham, LSE, Bristol, Imperial, UCL, Warwick, ETH Zurich and Melbourne, pursuing courses ranging from Medicine and Engineering to Economics, Classics and the Arts. Sam W, who achieved 44/45, is one of several pupils who have secured a prestigious degree apprenticeship. Sam will study Aerospace Engineering with Airbus. Arthur H, who served as Head of House during his time in Upper Sixth, will be studying Mechanical Engineering at TU Delft (Netherlands) having achieved 41/45.
Among this year’s successes, the five pupils highlighted here exemplify the very best of a Malvern education. Alongside their impressive IB results, they represent a group who have fully immersed themselves in College life and embody the qualities we value most in our Malvernians. Joining from a variety of backgrounds, including local schools such as The Downs Malvern, international schools such as The Banda School in Spain, as well as through trusted agents (Glasmacher and Studie-Wijs), they have each made a significant contribution to the community. Their involvement spans House leadership, College Prefect roles, captaining sports teams, leading House singing, CCF section Heads and embracing Outdoor Education challenges. Collectively, they demonstrate the breadth of opportunity available at Malvern and the impact of making the most of it.
Elsewhere in the Malvern College family, we extend our congratulations to pupils at Malvern College Hong Kong on another year of impressive IB results. Their Class of 2026 secured over 150 university offers from leading global institutions, alongside strong academic outcomes and a high proportion of Bilingual Diplomas.
Malvern College congratulates all members of the IB Class of 2026 on their outstanding achievements.
