House Singing Conductor ◆ Academic Scholar ◆ Senior College Prefect ◆ Peer Mentor◆ Aspiring Medic◆ Tennis Captain◆ ROLE MODEL

Livia’s journey is a powerful example of what it means to combine academic excellence with compassion and purpose. While achieving an outstanding 11 GCSEs at Grade 9 is remarkable, what truly distinguishes her is how she has used her abilities to make a meaningful difference to others. Choosing the IB for its breadth, Livia initially planned to pursue Geography. However, after attending a school Careers Evening and hearing from surgeon and Old Malvernian, Tom Bragg, she found a new sense of direction. Inspired by his insight, she has since focused her studies on Medicine, securing four offers from top universities in the UK. Her commitment is reflected not only in her academic success, but also in her wider efforts to understand and support others—through volunteering at Elgar Nursing Home, undertaking work experience at King’s College Hospital, and contributing to MedSoc as a committee member. Within the school community, Livia has made a significant impact.

As a College Prefect, she has represented the student voice with confidence, contributing to initiatives such as changes to Christmas Chapel and timetabling. As Marketing Representative for the prefect team, she has created innovative content including behind-the-scenes house tours, “Day in the Life” student profiles, and whole year group videos. She has shown maturity in engaging with senior leadership while empowering her peers. As a Peer Mentor, she has supported younger pupils, drawing on her own experiences to help others settle and feel a sense of belonging.

Outside the classroom, Livia is a committed member of the tennis team, serving as Captain and embracing both the competitive and social aspects of the sport. Having joined Malvern from Madrid, she has approached every opportunity with enthusiasm and resilience. This is particularly evident in her contribution to House 8, where she has immersed herself fully in house life- taking part in events ranging from House Singing and Drama to The Ledder, House Football, and even representing No. 8 in the 2025 edition of Hunted. Livia leads by example through her wholehearted involvement, helping to foster a strong sense of pride within the house and encouraging younger pupils to engage with enthusiasm and confidence.

What stands out most is Livia’s genuine care for others. She recognises and celebrates the achievements of those around her and has consciously worked to become a role model who inspires through both her actions and her compassion.
