Lewis Faulkner studied Biological Sciences at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, before completing his PGCE at New College, Oxford. His first teaching post was at Sale Grammar School, where he helped introduce the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. He then spent nearly fourteen years at St Edward’s Oxford as Head of Biology, before becoming Housemaster of a boys’ boarding house for seven years and later Senior Housemaster.
Alongside his school leadership roles, Lewis completed an MA in Education at Oxford Brookes University and holds an NPQH from University College London. He served as Deputy Head (Pastoral) for eight years before becoming Deputy Head and is a serving inspector with the Independent Schools Inspectorate. Outside school, he enjoys running marathons and renovating the family home in the Spanish Pyrenees.
