Adam studied Sports Coaching and Physical Education at the University of Birmingham, which led to a desire to pursue a PGCE in Primary Education. His first teaching placement was at The Downs Malvern, where he was subsequently offered a Year 3 teaching role. He has remained at the school throughout his career, taking on a variety of responsibilities before being appointed Deputy Head Pastoral.
In this role, Adam oversees the school’s pastoral provision and is also Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring that every pupil feels supported and able to thrive. He teaches across the curriculum, with a particular focus on Mathematics and Games, and greatly enjoys coaching rugby. A highlight of his coaching has been the opportunity to play alongside former pupils at Malvern Rugby Club, seeing them continue to share a love of the sport.
Outside school, Adam is a keen sportsman and enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, particularly being outdoors and keeping active.
