Congratulations to the cast & crew of ‘Sister Act’ for an acclaimed performance last week. The production was warmly enjoyed by a small, socially distanced audience in the Rogers Theatre, as well as parents viewing the live broadcast. The ensemble cast of lower sixth pupils performed admirably, and special mention goes to Amani, Morgann, Maddie, Missy, Cameron, Oli and Jonny in principal roles.
Drama Scholar and cast member, Boo (who played the comedic role of Sister Mary Lazarus) commented
“Rehearsals for this year’s musical theatre production have, undoubtedly, been different to any other. Thanks to technology and the drama department’s dedication, we were able to continue rehearsals virtually – an absolute saviour for many of us in lockdown! We found ourselves singing and dancing in bedrooms and developing our quirky characters. It has been incredibly rewarding being able to transfer our hard work online to the reality of the Rogers Theatre stage. ‘Sister Act’ is the ultimate ‘feel-good’ musical, and the cast and crew hope that we have been able to provide the perfect antidote to this past year of uncertainty.”
