Remembrance Service

1920-mc1.jpeg
On Sunday 14th November the College community gathered in Chapel to commemorate the fallen from the College and beyond as the nation marked Remembrance Sunday. In a reflective service, Colonel Piers Storie-Pugh (OM) called to mind the sacrifice of named individuals from different houses as a reminder to the pupils of how young many of the fallen were.

The choir sang anthems and a number of pupils led prayers for peace in different languages. The service continued outside around the St George Memorial and the pupils joined the Downs and a large number of parents and OMs. Wreaths were laid by the College, the Downs, the College Council, the Old Malvernians Association and the College CCF. Crosses had been planted around the St George Memorial each with a name of a former pupil who had paid the ultimate price.
