This coming Saturday is World Mental Health Day and a group of Upper Sixth students, Laksh, Tiwa, Georg and Will, have decided to run 10km in support of a children’s mental health charity called Place2Be. Their work involves group therapy, parent counselling and staff training in schools. They work with schools and colleges to identify mental health problems leading to improved student wellness and mental health.
They also specialise in providing consultation for vulnerable children without access to counselling. Place2Be supported more than 5,000 pupils through counselling last year and their support was invaluable during the Coronavirus Lockdown.
