National award success for Malvern’s Green Giving Day

National award success for Malvern’s Green Giving Day

We are delighted to share the news that our Green Giving Day run by the Malvernian Society at Malvern College has been awarded the ‘Schools’ Fundraising Campaign of the Year’ Award at this year’s Institute of Development Professionals in Education (IDPE) Development Awards.

This Award means an enormous amount to us as it recognises the incredible hard work of everyone involved in our Green Giving Day and Malvern College’s vision for a Net Zero campus. To our staff, pupils, and departments throughout the College – an enormous thank you to you all. And to our OMs and EOGs, thank you for your ongoing stories, contributions and inspiration.

We couldn’t be prouder of what we have achieved through our first Green Giving Day (a fantastic £134,764 to kick start the College’s Green Fund) and we are so grateful to everyone who voted for our Green Giving Day. The Green Fund will help to realise the College’s green ambitions: to reduce our carbon footprint, preserve our heritage buildings, and make learning environments sustainable for future generations. Never has the Malvern College motto of Sapiens Qui Prospicit – wise is the one who looks ahead – been so relevant.

We will be holding a second Green Giving Day in November next year – watch this space.
