Malvern U18s Rugby 7s – Collegiate 7s Cup Winners.

The Rugby 7s squad travelled to host Collegiate School, Bristol, confident after a good showing at Christ Brecon the week before.

In the group stages, Malvern U18s played well and won every game, defeating Kingswood, KES Bath, Collegiate, and Cathedral School Llandaff. The squad continued their impressive run in the cup semi-finals, securing a 33-19 win over Kings College Taunton.

The Cup Final was highly anticipated as Malvern faced Christ Brecon, who had won their own tournament the previous week. The Malvern boys were not fazed and went into the match with a strong belief in their abilities. They took their opportunities well and led at the break with a score of 12-7.

In the second half, the boys’ fitness showed as they dominated the game and extended their lead to emerge as the clear winners with a score of 40-7. This was a remarkable achievement by the squad, and it sets them up well for future tournaments.

A testament to his outstanding performance throughout the competition, Frankie Jefferies was named the player of the tournament.

The team now looks forward to their next challenge as they travel to Birkenhead for the highly prestigious North of England 7s.

Well done to all involved in this brilliant achievement.
