Congratulations to the Malvern College 1st XI who have been crowned T20 National Cricket Champions, retaining the trophy after beating Tonbridge and King’s College Taunton on Finals Day.
After missing out on defending our trophy last year because of lockdown restrictions, we knew it would be even tougher this year due to the disruption to so many aspects of school life and just getting to finals day was a big achievement. We set off early to Arundel and the prospect of play was looking increasingly unlikely due to a less than favourable weather forecast, however, we took the three-hour coach ride down in high spirits looking forward to playing the best cricketing schools the country has to offer.
