Malvern College celebrates outstanding exam results

Malvern College pupils are today celebrating outstanding results in this year’s exams, with students heading to top universities in both the UK and around the world. Pupils have achieved top grades in both A-levels and the International Baccalaureate. Destinations for those heading to university include the USA, Esade in Barcelona, IE Business School in Madrid and Maastricht University.

Among those being celebrated are:

  • Bevan C-F, who achieved four A* grades and will now study Medicine at Imperial College, London.
  • Scarlett G, whose four A* grades have secured her a place at the University of Edinburgh to study Economics.
  • Ryan C, who achieved three A* and an A will be studying Computer Science at the University of Manchester.

For over 30 years, we have offered the International Baccalaureate to its sixth form pupils alongside A-levels. Notable IB successes who were all amongst the group of pupils who achieved 40+ points include:

  • Julia H, who has accepted an offer to study Management at the London School of Economics.
  • Daisy T, who has been awarded a hockey scholarship and will begin her studies at the Ivy League Brown University in Rhode Island, USA.
  • Céline R, who will study Medicine at PMU Salzburg.

Away from traditional universities, drama scholar Beth N, who gained a coveted place at the National Youth Music Theatre during her time at Malvern, will now be taking up an offer to join the Emil Dale Academy to pursue her performing ambitions. Oli H has secured a degree apprenticeship with Cushman & Wakefield, a globally minded firm of commercial real estate surveyors.

This year’s results come after the opening, last September of a new state-of-the-art Sixth Form Centre – a dynamic and modern learning environment that further strengthens the resources and opportunities on offer for sixth formers, and which reflects the facilities on offer at university.

Keith Metcalfe, Malvern College Headmaster, said: “This year’s leavers have shown ambition, resilience, and a love of learning that we are incredibly proud of. Their success is a testament to their character and to the dedication of their teachers.

“With our new Sixth Form Centre now open, we are excited about the future and all we can continue to offer our pupils in these vital final years of school. We are incredibly proud of this exceptional year group. Their academic achievements are matched by their contributions to school life beyond the classroom. We wish them every success as they begin this exciting next chapter.”
