On Thursday the 12th of March, a number of our students: Aleksander P, Fedor K, Frederik P, George E, Georgia C, Henrik R, Louise Z, Lucian D, Lukas S and Natalia W participated in the Severn Regional Round of the Economics Olympiad.
Each of them had outperformed thousands of other students in a preliminary round, an outstanding achievement already, showcasing the quality of teaching within our school’s Economics Department. The event was hosted by the University of Worcester and was accompanied by fascinating talks related to economics and current affairs given by experts in the field.
The students competed in tasks involving various fields of economics such as Behavioural and Neo-Classical Economics. The questions were challenging and required deep expertise in the topic. All students demonstrated analytical thinking and arithmetic skills.
Despite fierce competition, Aleksander P and Lucian D managed to advance to the national round, which will take place in London.
Congratulations and good luck to both of them!
