Cricket News: A Summer of Success!

What a fantastic summer it’s been for Malvern’s cricketers!

Congratulations to Toby C, who has been selected for Team Canada’s squad as they head into the Americas Qualifiers in their bid to secure a place at the 2026 ICC U19 Men’s World Cup – a fantastic achievement on the international stage and an exciting opportunity.

At the prestigious Bunbury Festival, Charlie T shone brightly as captain of the U15 Midlands side. His performances included a superb 5-wicket haul and 23 runs in a victory over London and East, plus an earlier 60-run innings and regular wickets in the build-up to the tournament. Although injury ruled him out of later matches, his leadership and form made a huge impact.

Originally selected to play a year up, James T was unfortunately side-lined before the festival due to a finger injury. Will G stepped in as his replacement and seized the opportunity in style, taking 3 wickets for 60 runs against the South and West and another 3 for just 32 runs in a win over the North, helping the Midlands to two key victories.

Well done, boys! Your dedication, talent, and resilience are making a real mark on the cricketing world.
