Christian is a pupil who embodies curiosity, resilience and a global outlook. With a passion for outdoor pursuits, he sees outdoor education not as competition, but as a way to build commitment, teamwork and lifelong skills. Making the most of opportunities both on campus and on the doorstep, he regularly takes part in hiking, cycling, rock climbing and water-based activities, developing confidence and adaptability through real-world challenges.

Joining Malvern as a boarder, Christian quickly grew from initial uncertainty to becoming Deputy Head of House, developing a strong appreciation for living and working within an international community. His outdoor experiences have been central to this journey, where facing real challenges – such as navigating after losing a map, supporting teammates unprepared for harsh weather, or dealing with bike mechanicals mid-expedition – has developed his calm, logical approach under pressure. It is through overcoming these situations that he has built the leadership and self-discipline he now applies with confidence to both the classroom and boarding house life. One of the youngest pupils to take part in the Alps to Malvern College 22-day Challenge, Christian reflects not on the physical demands, but on the importance of teamwork – supporting one another through setbacks and working collaboratively to ensure everyone reached the finish. It is this shared sense of purpose that defines his approach.

Academically, he studies A level Spanish, English Literature and Politics, with ambitions to study Spanish and Arabic at the University of Edinburgh and immerse himself in different cultures through travel. As President of MUN and an enthusiastic linguist, he thrives on engaging with the wider world – whether debating global issues or trekking the Camino de Santiago. Christian leaves Malvern ready to work with anyone, anywhere: open-minded, culturally curious and eager to make his mark on the world.
