Chey Hooper-West

Housemistress ◆ PE Teacher ◆ Coach ◆ Rackets Champion ◆ ROLE MODEL

A PE teacher is speaking to a group of students on a sports field. Labels point to her, highlighting her roles as "PE Teacher," "House Mistress," "Former Rackets Champion," "Coach," and "Role Model." Trees and hills are visible in the background.

Chey joined the Sport Department and from the outset has been on her own Malvern journey. Our sporting heritage may well be dominated by traditional school sport such as cricket and rugby, yet inspired by Chey’s resilience and passion, our pupils compete and succeed across a vast arena of sporting disciplines. She instils a belief that pupils should always try, and there will always be support for everyone to reach their full potential. Pupils gravitate towards Chey and she excels as a House Mistress. Led by her example, girls in No. 6 possess unwavering morals and form strong bonds of friendship and collaboration. It’s no surprise therefore that these inherent qualities of fairness and integrity also make Chey the former champion she was on the rackets court after being inspired by a pupil to take up the sport.

Tomorrow’s role models, shaped today.
