Charlie T

At just 16 years old, Charlie T is already being recognised as one of the most exciting young cricketers in the country. Having just completed his GCSEs, Sports Scholar Charlie has achieved what many only dream of – earning an England U19 call-up at just 15, signing a professional contract with Warwickshire Cricket Club, and being selected to represent England U19 against South Africa in a one day international fixture this summer.

Growing up just inside the Warwickshire border, Charlie began his cricketing journey at eight years old with the county’s youth setup. His natural talent quickly became clear, and through dedication, discipline, and a passion for the game, he has progressed through every stage of the Warwickshire pathway; from the junior teams to making his 2nd XI debut earlier this year for the Division One county side. A true all-rounder, Charlie is known for his powerful batting and sharp fielding, but it is his bowling that is earning him national attention. Tall, athletic, and accurate, he regularly bowls at speeds between 70–80 mph, showing exceptional control and movement with the ball. His ability to read the game, vary pace, and swing the ball makes him a formidable opponent, and coaches describe him as a natural fast bowler with enormous potential.

Charlie’s talent is nurtured by expert coaching from Malvern College and Warwickshire’s professional setup, where he trains alongside ex-professionals and elite players. In 2025 he captained the Midlands team at the prestigious ECB Bunbury Festival, leading by example with both bat and ball.

Off the cricket pitch, Charlie also excels in squash and rackets, sports that reflect his lightning-fast reactions and determination. Supported by his family (and often competing alongside his older brother Ed), Charlie continues to push himself to new heights. Having now secured his first professional contract, his focus is firmly set on breaking into the Warwickshire first team and building a long-term career in the game.
