Business Founder ◆ Entrepreneurship Degree in USA◆ Lord Lieutenant ◆ ROLE MODEL

Andrew, a second-generation OM with an extensive network of OM friends reaching back four decades, has more than made his mark on the world.
One of first to attend university in the USA back in 1983 and majoring in entrepreneurship, marketing and international business, he encountered new ways of thinking and, in 1985, the first Apple computer. Despite dyslexia, Andrew graduated in the top 1% of his class and his experience in the USA set him on his forward-looking, technology-driven path in business.
Bringing his knowledge of networking, coding and computing back to the UK, Andrew founded ComXo, a company that provides workplace services to some of the world’s largest organisations and employs 100 people in Windsor.
Alongside his international outlook, Andrew is a proud Windsorian and was honoured to be appointed Lord Lieutenant of Royal Berkshire in 2023. The Lord Lieutenant serves as the King’s personal representative in each county, a role that dates back to the 1540s when Henry VIII called on his lieutenants to muster the county militia, hence the historic military titles and uniform.
For Andrew, however, the role is much more than ceremonial. He is passionate about supporting constitutional monarchy as a safeguard of democracy, ensuring that the government of the day cannot exceed its powers, and has seen firsthand the impact of its global soft power. He was present at the State Visit of President Donald Trump in September 2025 which was immediately followed by an announcement of £150bn of US investment in the UK. Having been a member of the welcoming party for President Macron of France, Andrew describes the “special magic” of these occasions.

Andrew credits his Malvern College education with equipping him to engage confidently with people from all walks of life. Surprisingly, given his tech background, he says that the most valuable subject at school today is the arts. Reflecting fondly on house drama, where everyone took part, he argues that while AI may one day write speeches or sales pitches, it will never deliver them human to human.
A passionate advocate for education, Andrew is committed to helping young people find a sense of purpose as a means of tackling the growing mental health crisis. He has served as governor for several schools and is a trustee of both the Prince Philip Trust and the Royal Windsor Flower Show.
True to all four of the overarching Malvern Qualities, Andrew is a free thinker, a change maker, a communicator and a team builder.
