Before Travel to England

UK Government rules state that before travel to England, pupils must:

  • take a COVID-19 test – to be taken in the 2 days before you travel to England
  • book and pay for a COVID-19 PCR test to be taken after you arrive in England
  • complete a passenger locator form – to be completed in the 48 hours before you arrive in England

Please see further information here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/travel-to-england-from-another-country-during-coronavirus-covid-19

Day 2 PCR tests and Quarantine

Overseas arrivals need to take a Day 2 PCR test and to quarantine until they receive their results. Overseas pupils should arrive in College as planned on Tuesday 4th?January (term starts for boarders at 6.30pm). Day 2 PCR testsmay be booked with any company: https://www.gov.uk/find-travel-test-provider

If Day 2 tests are booked with Wren Healthcare, then swabbing will take place on Wednesday 5th?January. Pupils should hopefully receive results on Thursday 6th?January and they will be able to leave quarantine if and when they receive a negative test result. Overseas pupils will be able to quarantine in their rooms in boarding houses and to attend lessons online. The advantage of booking with Wren Healthcare is that they will come into the College to take swabs on certain busy dates and they are usually able to provide results within 24 hours. Please use the following email address to book Day 2 tests:?malvernbookings@wrenhealthcare.co.uk

The PCR test booking reference number is needed to complete the Passenger Locator Form. Please note that Wren Healthcare is a national company who provide this service to many schools and replies to emails are therefore sometimes slower than we would like, so please book PCR tests in good time. Overseas pupils are very welcome to quarantine with their guardians, attending lessons online, and to return to school when they have received their negative Day 2 PCR test result.

Whereabouts Forms

Please would parents/guardians of?all boarders?complete the Whereabouts Form for the start of term. It is important that this information is collated centrally via the online forms, rather than being sent to the House in the form of an email or phone call. If changes are needed, it is possible to edit the submitted form. The House will receive a copy of the form:
