Over the last twenty years Malvern College has shown itself to offer all that is best in co-education.

Today's co-educational College came about in 1992 when three successful schools (Malvern College, Ellerslie Girls' School and Hillstone Prep) were brought together.

While maintaining valued traditions the College has always been at the forefront of educational development.

In the Foundation Year (Year 9) the curriculum is designed to enable pupils to become confident and successful independent learners improving the personal, learning and thinking skills that are integral to their academic development. The curriculum introduces pupils to a wide range of academic and cultural experiences designed to stimulate their intellectual curiosity.

On entering the Remove (Year 10) pupils select the subjects they will be taking for GCSE/IGCSE at the end of the Hundred (Year 11).

The Pre-Sixth Form course (Year 11) was introduced in September 2005. This course is intended for pupils whose assessment tests, academic background and standard of English indicate that they are capable of successfully completing the individual GCSE/IGCSE specifications in one year. All pupils have the opportunity to gain entry into the Sixth Form to study either a GCE Advanced Level course or the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma.

Malvern College offers both A levels and the International Baccalaureate (IB) in the Sixth Form. There is a near equal split between the number of Sixth Form pupils studying for A level and the IB ensuring a real choice within each course of study. Whichever educational course pupils choose to pursue in the Sixth Form they are given the opportunity, to take on responsibility and leadership roles and to choose the areas of school life to where they feel most able to contribute and from which they will benefit.
