Weatherill Society

The Weatherill Society, our Economics, Politics and Business Society is named after Lord Weatherill (OM), former Speaker of the House of Commons (1983-1992). The society aims to expose our pupils to interesting and distinguished speakers and to promote thought and discussion about current issues and up-to-date research.

Meade Read

The Meade Read is a reading group for pupils intending to study Economics and Politics at university looking at top university courses either in the UK or abroad. James Meade (OM) was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economic Science in 1977 for his work on international trade and international capital movements. A series of books, chapters from books or articles are chosen by both staff and pupils and discussed on a regular basis throughout the academic year.
