No.2 welcomes boys whatever their skills and interests and as a result the House is vibrant, diverse and fun. All boys are encouraged to give of their best whether on the sports field, in the House Singing Competition or on a climbing wall. Opportunities at Malvern are there to be grabbed, and the No.2 boys do so with smiles on their faces. The House has great spirit and a welcoming and sociable atmosphere.
Housemaster Justin Major, (OM 86-91) came late to teaching after a number of years working in the outdoor and expedition field. A very enthusiastic sportsman himself, he believes that the most fulfilled boys are those who get ‘stuck in’ to the task. Justin is supported by Jenny, his wife and teacher of Geography, whose reluctance to sleep in a tent and climb up mountains provides a healthy balance in the House. With the arrival of their daughter Martha in December 2014, the colour pink has arrived House 2 and the boys now have a little sister! In Shackleton, the friendly Ridgeback, they have an ally in their shared wish to make No.2 a happy place for boys to enjoy their school years.
